THIS SHOW HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE GARAGE

It is in the darkest of times that the creative light of the collective human experience shines its brightest. As the challenges that face humanity grow with each passing moment, the desire and necessity to create and experience love and wholeness crystallizes more clearly in the hearts and minds of those ready to shed the negative thought patterns that currently limit human potential.Expanding the capacity to feel, understand, and appreciate the beauty, significance, and potential innately embedded in all points in (space)-time is a principal intention of Agobi Project' s music.
Incorporating organic and digital elements into a singular musical entity, Agobi Project embodies an artistic vision limited only by the boundaries of human thought and feeling. Seeking to uplift, unite, and inform, Agobi Project's original compositions filter elements of jazz, ambient drum n' bass, hip-hop, atmospheric dubstep, and glitch informed IDM through the trans-personal experiences of the trio. The aural experience is delicately balanced between composition and improvisation, premeditation and spontaneity, light and dark, past and future.

THIS SHOW HAS BEEN MOVED TO STELLA BLUE

DJ LOGIC and his role as an electronic-music ambassador keeps him at the top of his game. Whether the scratch artist instructs tablas to flirt with drum 'n' bass (such as on his NINA SIMONE and BILLY HOLIDAY remixes found on Sony Legacy's Remixed and Reimagined volumes) , or while meshing free styling MC's with Afro-Cuban rhythms (such as on 'Share Worldwide Funk' - a remix produced for JACK DeJOHNETTE and Golden Beams Collected, Volume 1 ) , LOGIC can always be found paying homage to his predecessors while contributing his vision to the deejay genre. While the context of his work may vary, DJ LOGIC’S spinning skills are definitely beyond reproach. He works with a phenomenal roster of invited guests, and he knows how to pick his collaborators as well as his samples. With a growing catalogue of recordings under his belt, DJ LOGIC’S supreme musicianship and catholic tastes will allow him to journey wherever an infectious groove may take him.

THIS SHOW HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE Pisgah Brewing Company

BoomBox is Producer/Engineer/DJ/Drummer Russ Randolph and Producer/DJ/Vocalist/Guitarist Zion Rock Godchaux. This pair of dynamic artists uses their rich musical history and their vision of music and popular culture to deliver a style of music distinctly different from anything heard or seen in music today. This signature sound and show brings live music to a new, elevated level. BoomBox evolved through the common visualization of two forward-thinking artists from diverse musical backgrounds. Raised by supportive and musically inclined parents, both Godchaux and Randolph had an obsession with music at very young ages. Godchaux, who grew up with deeply embedded rock and roll roots, began playing drums at the age of two, and played guitar and wrote his own songs as a teen. During the 90s, Godchaux was a well-received touring DJ based out of the San Francisco area. Randolph began as a young drummer, but it’s what was happening behind the scenes that attracted him most. As much producers as they are musicians, it is Randolph’s understanding of soundscape and Godchaux’s knack for songwriting that keeps BoomBox resonating at higher levels.

Emancipator:
To some, it must seem like this young electronic producer came out of nowhere this year. Emancipator played his first live show in July 2009, opening for Bonobo at the Roseland Theater (cap. 1500). Since then, he’s toured with Bassnectar, STS9, Pretty Lights, drawn crowds at festivals like Trinumeral and Symbiosis, and closed out Sound Tribe Sector 9’s late night parties in Denver at the request of the band.

THIS SHOW HAS BEEN MOVED TO STELLA BLUE

Frontier Ruckus is most usually in a perpetual state of waiting--limbo. This is an enormous place to be, it is seen clearly in the modern space of the "dead mall;" it's like this, buildings and towns and counties are containers that gradually show the glowing life or death of the things within them. The existence of locality, and the connection of all the spaces or people you engulf via bodies and via breath, that expansiveness of breath, is where Frontier Ruckus resides, and it is past that county-line-frontier where knowledge and affection blur into nothing. Every space/place/winter gas station lot/anonymous-dim-white-metal-highwayside-dome/etc. that you've known and eye-gulped compulsively throughout a lifetime is a container of memory and affect, and the faces of these places, these containers, are slowly exhibiting explicit portrayals of that which they hold--body and breath and horrible nighttime cosmos. When Frontier Ruckus is in song, the dynamism throatily throttles out of idle and the container spills all of its fluid out onto the bashful and awful hands of anything that does the pumping.

THIS SHOW HAS BEEN MOVED TO STELLA BLUE

Downtempo, space disco, house, tech, b-boy era electro, hip hop, soul, and funk – if you can move, Orchard Lounge will back you up. Formed in Chicago in 2000, OL is the collective of Ben Silver, Spencer Lokken and Bethany Lokken. This versatile trio has enlightened dance floors nationwide with their eclectic mixes, from sunset chill-out to bass-dropping tech house, and an array of other futuristic sounds. Theirs is a democratic mission: to expose as many people as possible to the artists they admire and respect. What sets Orchard Lounge apart from other club DJs is, well, you won't always find them in the club. In recent years they've built a reputation as a hard-touring festival act and set-break crowd favorite, frequently supporting The Disco Biscuits, Sound Tribe Sector 9, The New Deal and Future Rock. They've also played alongside heavyweights like Bonobo, Lindstrom, DJ T, Jamie Jones, Booka Shade, Metro Area, and Kevin Yost. As The Disco Biscuits' de facto hype men (and woman), they've had the rare pleasure of performing for thousands at world famous venues like Red Rocks and the Hammerstein Ballroom, constantly keeping the crowd engaged with a unique mix of turntable and live-band improvisation.

Outside the booth, the members of Orchard Lounge continue making music: Spencer is a classically-trained violinist and regularly plays with a trio in Chicago; Ben has studied guitar for more than ten years, and continues to write and produce. Bethany quit the clarinet in college and has never looked back. Despite their affinity for live music, OL's focus hasn't shifted since the group's inception almost a decade ago: to provide sophisticated and stylish DJ sets that are appropriate in a variety of settings, from the dancefloor to the couch.

Future Rock:
Mickey Kellerman and Felix Moreno, alongside drummer Darren Heitz, are the driving force behind Future Rock. During their explosive live show, all three mibers wield synthesizers, live loops and samples-Kellerman on the keys, Moreno on the bass, Heitz on drums-to form an amalgamation of excitient, constructed completely live onstage. The Chicago trio has been perfecting its brand of live-instrument dance music since 2004 and-just like Future Rock’s pulsating and escalating anthis-their momentum is about to explode. Their live riixes of Black Moth Super Rainbow and Death from Above 1979 are sweeping proof of Future Rock’s skills. But that’s not all.

VibeSquaD has the look and feel of a regular humanoid DJ / producer, but as the Crunkadelic Bass Traveler he tours the solar system bumpin’ his signature sound to all the deep space inhabitants. His spaceship leaks beats to the outer edges of the galaxy, leaving a blast of subterranean ill bass in his wake. Creatures are drawn to these sounds, regularly converging in large groups to observe and move to his music.
Taking cues from classic electronic acts like Kraftwerk, The Art of Noise, and Front 242, VibeSquaD incorporates the reliable sounds of Chicago, Detroit, Miami, and the UK, informs it with his background in classic rock, psychedelic jam, and diverse jazz roots, then zaps it all with neon lasers.
